THE MONTH OF DHUL HIJJAH 1444AH

Al-Mahdi Islamic Center wishes to inform the community that there were no verified sightings of the crescent moon on the evening of Sunday 18th June 2023.

Based on the ruling of Sayyid Sistani regarding the multiplicity of Horizons, the first day of the month of Dhul Hijjah 1444AH will be Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 for the entire region of North America.

• 9 Dhul Hijjah, Shahadat of H. Muslim and Day of Arafah
• 10 Dhul Hijjah, Eid-Al-Adha
• 15 Dhul Hijjah, Wiladat of Imam Ali An-Naqi (AS)
• 18 Dhul Hijjah, Eid-Al-Ghadeer
• 22 Dhul Hijjah, Shahadat of sons of H. Muslim
• 24 Dhul Hijjah, Eid-Al-Mubahila

Special A’amal for the 1st day of every Islamic month, for your and family’s safety & security for the whole month as recommended by Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (alayhi assalam):

Two Rak’ah Salaat:

(In the first rak’ah after Suratul Hamd recite 30 times Surah of Tawheed and

in the second rak’ah after al- Hamd recite 30 times Suratul Qadr.)
