PROGRAM FOR MUHARRAM 1448
JUNE / JULY 2026
First Night of Muharram is expected to fall on Monday, June 15th, 2026.
Programs for the 12 nights of Muharram will begin on Monday, June 15th. Ladies day programs will also begin on Monday, June 15th. All programs will be held at the Al-Mahdi Islamic Center in Hicksville, NY.
Ashura day is InshaAllah expected to fall on Thursday, June 25th, 2026.
Blood Drive will be held at our center InshaAllah on Sunday, June 21st, 2026 (6:00 PM). Details will follow as the date is closer.
DAILY PROGRAM SCHEDULE FOR THE FIRST 12 NIGHTS
Programs will begin at 7:15 pm with NYAZ, followed by Surah Yasin, Namaz, Marsiya, Majlis, Matam, and end with Ziyarat. Programs are expected to end by 10:00 pm.
Daily Children’s Programming will begin at 6:30 PM on weekdays and during the main program on weekends.
Notes:
Programs for Tuesdays and Thursdays will be adjusted accordingly to include Dua Tawassul, Dua Kumail, and Ziyarat Waritha. (To be recited prior to Maghribain)

The funds we raise during Muharram traditionally assist to keep the center running during the months when attendance and donations are not very high.
Our target this Muharram is to raise $200,000, which will cover half a year of ongoing expenses.
