đ Moon Sighting Update â Sha’ban 1447 A.H.
Salaam Alaikum,
Al-Mahdi Islamic Center wishes to inform the community regarding the sighting of the crescent moon, 1st of Shaâbaan will be: Tuesday, January 20, 2026, for all regions south of the line extending from the city of Philadelphia on the East Coast, passing through Detroit and Chicago, and ending at the cities of Seattle and Vancouver on the West Coast. â Wednesday, January 21, 2026, for all other regions north of the above-mentioned line (NY, NJ, Minnesota, all Canada except Vancouver) ; thus, Tuesday will be the last day of the month of Rajab.
